The Pilates University is Tampa Bay's home for serious Pilates teacher training. If you're looking for a Pilates certification in Tampa Bay, our 300-hour Mat and Reformer program takes you from passionate mover to confident, qualified instructor. You'll learn the full classical repertoire on universal equipment, practice teaching real students, and graduate ready to teach in any studio.
We train instructors the right way: in person, on universal equipment, with real hours behind the apparatus. You won't just memorize exercises, you'll teach them, get direct feedback, and complete a final assessment so you graduate genuinely ready. Every graduate also joins TPU Online, our network connecting Pilates teachers, studio owners, and lovers of the work across Tampa Bay and the country.

Enroll in a comprehensive Pilates teacher training program like The Pilates University. Our 300-hour Mat and Reformer certification covers the full classical repertoire, anatomy, cueing, and supervised teaching practice, finishing with a hands-on assessment that prepares you to teach anywhere in Tampa Bay and beyond.
Our Mat certification is 150 hours over roughly four months, and the full Mat and Reformer certification totals 300 hours. Training runs in-person on weekends in the Tampa Bay area, so you can certify without leaving your job.
Each certification is $2,500 paid in full, or $500 per weekend across the 6 class weekends. A separate $300 non-refundable deposit reserves your spot and covers your course materials, so the total is $2,800 paid in full or $3,300 on the weekend plan. The full 300-hour pathway combines the Mat and Reformer programs.
No prior teaching experience is required. You should have a consistent Pilates practice and a love for the method. We take you from passionate mover to confident, qualified instructor.
