The agreement between you and The Pilates University.
Last updated July 30, 2026
These terms cover the thepilatesuniversity.com website, the TPU Online member network, and the TPU iOS app (together, the “Service”), run by The Pilates University (“TPU”, “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or 13 or older with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself.
You keep ownership of what you post — your profile, blog posts, comments, listings, and photos. By posting it, you give us permission to display and distribute it within the Service so it can be shown to other members.
You agree not to post anything that:
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members on TPU. Every member profile, blog post, and comment can be reported from inside the Service, and any member can be blocked so you no longer see them.
We review every report and act on it within 24 hours — removing the content, and suspending or removing the member responsible where it is warranted. Members who are removed for this reason may not create a new account. To report something, use the Report option on the profile or post, or email mack@thepilatesuniversity.com.
Class plans, videos, guides, course materials, and everything else we publish are ours or our licensors’. Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them in your own teaching and practice. You may not resell them, share your account, or redistribute the material as your own.
TPU provides Pilates education. It is not medical advice, and we are not your physician or physical therapist. Movement carries risk of injury. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise program, and stop if something hurts.
This matters especially for the material on teaching pregnant, postpartum, and injured clients. That education is intended to inform your professional judgement, not replace a client’s medical clearance. You remain responsible for how you teach and for carrying your own insurance.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where the reason is abuse or objectionable content we may do so without notice.
We work to keep TPU running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. Features may change, and content may be added or removed.
To the fullest extent the law allows, TPU is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Florida.
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we will update the date above and tell you by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
