Feeling nervous when a pregnant client or someone with a back injury walks into your class? You're not alone. This workshop is designed to give you practical, evidence-informed tools you can immediately apply to your teaching.
We'll spend the majority of our time covering pre- and postnatal Pilates, including movement considerations, common modifications, contraindications, and how to confidently adapt exercises throughout pregnancy and postpartum recovery. We'll also discuss common spinal conditions and other injuries you may encounter in a group class, helping you understand when to modify, what to look out for, and how to keep clients moving safely.
You'll leave with more than just information—you'll walk away with ready-to-use class plans for each population, practical modification strategies, and the confidence to think on your feet when clients present with unique needs.
Take the fear out of modifying and start seeing special populations as an opportunity to become an even more knowledgeable, adaptable instructor.
This is a hands-on, in-person session in a small group, so there's room to ask the questions you actually run into with your own clients. Come from any certification background — the tools you leave with work in a mat class, on the reformer, and in private sessions.
